1. Who We Are

Snappy Invoice is a free online invoice and quote generator. We do not require account registration and do not store your invoice data on our servers. All document data remains in your browser until you download a PDF.

2. What Data We Collect

Analytics Data

We use an EU-based analytics service to collect anonymised usage data to understand how our site is used and improve the product. This includes:

  • Pages visited and navigation patterns
  • Button clicks and feature usage
  • Session recordings (anonymised replays of how you interact with the site)
  • Device type, browser, and approximate location (country level)
  • Referral source

Our analytics service assigns a random identifier to your browser. This is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Payment Data (Stripe)

If you purchase a premium PDF download, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe may collect information necessary to process your payment in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Document Data

Your invoice and quote data (business details, client details, line items) is processed entirely in your browser and on our server only at the moment of PDF generation. We do not store this data after the PDF is returned to you.

AI Features

When you use the “Describe with AI” feature, your text description is sent to a third-party AI service to extract structured data. This data is not stored by us after the response is returned.

3. Cookies We Use

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage mechanisms:

Essential

  • Stripe checkout cookies— required for the payment process to function. Set by Stripe during checkout.
  • Cookie consent preference— stores your cookie consent choice in localStorageso we don’t ask you again.

Analytics

  • Analytics cookies— used to track anonymised usage data, session recordings, and feature flag evaluations. These cookies are set by our analytics provider and can be rejected via the cookie banner.

4. How to Opt Out

You can control analytics cookies in several ways:

  • Cookie banner— when you first visit, click “Reject All” or use “Manage Preferences” to disable analytics cookies.
  • Browser settings— you can clear cookies or use your browser’s built-in tracking protection.
  • Do Not Track— we respect the Do Not Track browser signal.

If you opt out, our analytics service will stop collecting data and any existing analytics cookies will be cleared.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use analytics data to:

  • Understand which features are used most
  • Identify and fix bugs or usability issues
  • Improve the product and user experience
  • Measure the effectiveness of new features

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

6. Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate Snappy Invoice:

  • Analytics provider(EU-based) — collects anonymised usage data, session recordings, and feature flag evaluations. All analytics data is processed and stored within the EU.
  • Stripe— payment processing. If you make a purchase, Stripe handles your payment securely. Stripe Privacy Policy
  • AI processing service— when you use the “Describe with AI” feature, your text is sent to a third-party AI provider to extract structured data. No data is retained after the response is returned.
  • Hosting provider— our site is served by a cloud hosting platform that may process standard web request data (IP address, user agent) as part of delivering pages to your browser.

7. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained by our analytics provider in accordance with their data retention policies. We do not independently store analytics data.

Document data (invoices, quotes) is not retained on our servers. It exists only in your browser and is discarded after PDF generation.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information or require accounts, most data we hold is anonymised and cannot be linked back to you. If you have questions, please contact us at the address below.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
